Keio Media Design has 10 laboratories.

The research activities of this program take for their subject the many aspects of daily life including food, clothing and shelter. Based on the "total design" concept, with the current fields of "learning design," "entertainment design," "life design," "sound design," "fashion design," and "performance design" as the framework, the program will expand in the future to offer the fields of "body design" ("physical design"), "space design," and "architecture design."
